Silk Flowers
Silk flowers are a wonderful alternative to potentially toxic fresh flowers.
They also make a wonderful keepsake from your reception. Indy Cakes will
place them on or around your cake as you wish.
Silk flowers will need to be provided by the bride no later than 48 hours
before the wedding.
Gum Paste/Chocolate Flowers
Gum paste is an frosting that can be molded into some of the most delicate
flowers found in nature. Indy Cakes is well versed in making a wide
variety of flowers from gum paste including: orchids, roses, lillies,
stephanotis, carnations, tulips, apple blossoms, and daisys.
Indy Cakes can also make several flowers out of chocolate. These flowers
will have the taste of white chocolate, but can be tinted any color you
wish.
Pricing for these flowers is based on the design of the cake.
Fresh Flowers
Many brides love the look of fresh flowers on their wedding cake, but there
are some things to think about before making a final decision. Many of the
most beautiful flowers are toxic and should not be placed directly on the
cake. If you choose fresh flowers, Indy Cakes will put a small piece of clear
plastic between the flowers and the cake. Your guests will never see the
plastic and they will not have the taste of the flowers in their mouths.
All fresh flowers will need to be provided by the bride and/or florist no
later than 24 hours before the wedding.
